About this outfit
Greenwood Equipment Welding is a mobile heavy equipment welding and line boring service based in Greenwood, Indiana, serving Johnson County and the Indianapolis south side. The business exists because of a gap anyone running iron around here knows: when a bucket cracks or a pin bore goes oval, the choices have been a lowboy haul to a shop across the metro or waiting days for a welder from another county.
We run it differently in two ways. First, the truck carries everything: welder, generator, air arc gouging, torch set, spool gun for aluminum, and a portable line boring machine, so one visit finishes the job. Second, the rates are published on the pricing page where anyone can read them before calling. Both policies came from the same place: being the customer of trades that made us guess.
The work is structural, so the standards are not optional. Load path repairs follow AWS D1.1 practice, commercial trailer frames follow the federal repair rules, and racking gets an honest repair or replace call against the manufacturer tables. When a repair cannot be defended, we say so and walk away from that line item.
Where we are and what to ask us
This is a mobile only operation based in Greenwood. There is no shop counter to visit; the truck and the tooling come to your site, which is the whole point of the service. Commercial customers should ask us for a current certificate of insurance before we come on site, the same thing you should ask of any welder you let near your equipment. Indiana does not issue a state license for mobile welding, so insurance paperwork and the standards a welder works to are the real credentials in this trade, and we would rather you check both than take a website's word for it.
